Wordcraft History

Founded in 1978, Wordcraft developed and produced one of the world's first mass market word processors for the Commodore PET shortly followed by IBM compatible PCs.

Moving with the times development then diversified into fax and communication software, where Wordcraft led the market, initially with LaserFAX which was later replaced with Unimessage Pro.

Early 2000 Wordcraft launched a suite of internet-based solutions for data retrieval marketed for personal and business use. For more information see product information on the Newwws and Business Information Server.

Wordcraft is primarily a software development company, however occasionally development ideas go beyond the usual path! As a consequence ocrNow! was launched, this is a commercial service (available on-line) for converting paper documents into editable electronic files.

More recently Wordcraft has developed a new suite of products aimed at simplifying and managing document workflow in the office. The Unimessage P3 suite of products will be officially launched from June 2007, please see product information for more details..
